| The Lifelong Learning Center is a nongovernmental organization founded as a result of many years of experience and work in the field of adult education and lifelong learning of its founders. The Lifelong Learning Center accomplishes projects in the field of adult education and lifelong learning as an umbrella organization that unites and supports the interests of the various providers of non-formal adult education in the Republic of Macedonia and strengthens their organizational capacity. The experience, knowledge and potential, which the team in this Center own, is aimed at contributing to the further development of adult education and lifelong learning in the Republic of Macedonia. Lifelong Learning Center has signed partnership agreement with DVV International from Bonn, Germany, in the frame of which it implements adult education development projects in Macedonia. The Lifelong Learning Center is a leading promoter of adult education and lifelong learning in the Republic of Macedonia. It works as trainers', consultants' and resource center and is a holder of the network providers of adult education in the Republic of Macedonia. The Lifelong Learning Center accomplishes its vision through implementation of projects, networking, training of trainers, consulting, research, publications, promotions, transfer of knowledge and lobbying for adult education and lifelong learning.. | The Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje is the first state University in the Republic of Macedonia, founded in 1949, initially with three faculties. At the moment, the University represents a functional community of 23 faculties, 5 research institutes, 4 public science institutes - associate members. The University offers study programmes in all science fields - natural sciences and mathematics, technical and technological sciences, medical sciences and health, biotechnical sciences, social sciences, humanities and arts. Except in faculties, research is also carried out in independent research institutes. The Faculty of Philosophy is a member of the Skopje University, and historically was the first higher education institution in contemporary history. It houses 11 institutes dedicated to the study of philosophy, pedagogy, history, history of art and archaeology, classical studies, psychology, sociology, security, defense and peace studies, social work and social policy, special needs education and gender studies. The Faculty of Philosophy is the only higher education institution in the country researching andragogy and studying andragogy at first, second and third cycle. | ADULT EDUCATION CENTRE - SKOPJE (AEC), is a public institution, established in November 2008 by the Government of the Republic of Macedoniа. Our mission is to promote a system of adult education that will be functional, modern and in accordance to the European Union standards. High quality trainings and possibilities for gaining qualifications in accordance to the needs of the population will increase the employability, will contribute to the development of the entrepreneurship, will meet the labor market demands and will contribute to the economic, social and professional development. AEC activities: - Verification of special adult education programs (non-formal education programs)
- Programs for completion and for reaching primary education level
- Programs for completion and for reaching secondary vocational education level
- Literacy programs for socially excluded people.
