Description: Kahramanmaras Guidance and Research Centre is an institution which has two departments, one of these is services of special education. In this department psychological counsellors and special education teachers evaluate students academically and guide them for taking the best education programme. Then they check the students' academic level annually. On weekly basis their parents are invited to the institute to inform them. The other department provides services of psychological counselling and guidance to students and parents; makes radio programmes about education; publishes books, magazines and brochures; gives education seminars to schools and professional chambers; carries out surveys at schools; cooperates with psychological counsellors at schools and prepares educational programmes for counsellors working at schools. The institution also prepares local educational projects and runs them.
