Learners' testimonies:
József Keresztesi (Slovenian meeting)

I was very pleased to learn about the opportunity to attend a professional event to be held in Slovenia, the aim of which was to learn about good practices surrounding the Adult Learners' Week there. In preparation for the event I reviewed our own programs and documents in the field, and considered my own experiences of Adult learners' weeks in Hungary, and I was eagerly looking forward to the experience.

We travelled by car and really enjoyed Slovenia's natural beauty and excellent infrastructure. We arrived in Zalec, where the main event was being held, and after some orientation we continued our journey by bus in the sunshine. The atmosphere at the local event was very inclusive and the organization was really well managed. I really liked that the award winners (groups) were presented using a video presentation. The hosts also showed us some of the local sights, which meant we were able to learn something about the local culture as well.

The activities carried out during the group work - were we gave and received good practices and came up with joint proposals - really strengthened both the professional and personal relationships between the participants. Overall I found meeting with people from other countries, and getting to know their ways of doing things, very useful. I also appreciate the opportunity to cultivate working relationships and the possibility of working together in the future, which can lead to more meetings like this and even newer and better ideas.

I would like to thank the Slovenian hosts for the colorful program and the kind hospitality and the Hungarian Folk High School Society for the opportunity to participate in the visit. I wish all the partners continued success in the project.
