Learners' testimonies: Ahmet Ciftcioglu (Dutch meeting)
When I visited Netherland I saw a naturel atmosphere. We met lots of Turkish people at there and this situation made me very happy. At the first day meeting, I met people whom diffrent culture and different country, different career.we worked on adult education and I got a lot of experineces from these diaologs. We visited two libraries ( Zoetermeer and Amsterdam) and I observed that the library system in Netherland and whole Europe was very different. The library wasn't only library in Netherland. They have been using the library like a life center.
During the meeting, I talked with Michele and her colleague about adult disabled people, especialy, their education system, difficulties in their life and . This speech made me very happy.I gained lots of educational experiences from this meeting.
I learned from this SLS Netherland meeting how the adult education institutes and associations work, how they establis communication with adult people suc as early school leaver, unemployments....etc. Also I understood that the learning campaigns were very influential way to disseminate the adult education.
Formerly, as a special education teacher I were deal with only disabled people' academic side and thie daily basic behavors. But after SLS Netherland meeting, I will focus on more their social aspects. I will tell the effective use of the librarianship to all adults around my institute.
